Solution:

• Add the proxy_listener_mode:multiplex parameter to the auth server(s) configuration as part of the auth_service section as seen below:

auth_service:
   proxy_listener_mode: multiplex

• Add the version:v2 parameter to the proxy server(s) configuration as a parent-level parameter as seen below:

teleport:
   ...

• Restart service on auth and proxy server(s).
